A personal note

Why these articles are looong

I’m a very curious person (read: a yapper, both in person and on paper). I love research, I love finding out how things connect, especially the things that don’t look like they should, and I love looking at a question from every angle I can find. Psychology, therapy, philosophy, politics, even working out, music and art (I’m going to stop here, because the list would get very long). I’m always trying to learn more and understand more. I love making things as much as I love learning about them, whether it’s an idea, a drawing, or a new way to explain something.

These articles are what that curiosity turns into. Each one starts with a question I wanted answered and grows as I follow it through the studies themselves, checking every source along the way. They tell you where the evidence is strong, where it’s mixed, and where nobody knows yet, and that takes more words than a list of tips (sorry about that).

I write them because I want to share what I find. My hope is that you’ll leave with a clearer picture, maybe a new connection or two, and room to make up your own mind.
